Located in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, RRoD Fix and Flip is a family owned shop in Joliet, IL.  We are an established, polite, efficient, hard working group that cuts no corners, and abides by the highest standards of customer service.

We buy Xboxes with the rrod and professionally repair them with our computer tech equipment.  So no, the original warranty is not in place.  All Xboxes, with the exception of the new “Slim” model, are destined to get the rrod at some point because of their design.  If you send it to Microsoft, it will come back with the same crappy design of the flimsy "x-clamps" holding the heat sink to the cpu/gpu, and doesn’t have the proper cooling.  Because of this, it causes flexing of the motherboard when hot, and as time goes on this gets worse. 

All consoles now have the 12 volt fan modification. Yes it is a little louder, but will run A LOT cooler, preventing Red Rings again.

We professionally reflow and/or reball gpu/cpu, with precise temperatures and equipment.  Of course not all of the consoles we receive are repairable, so we have extra parts to make sure these have 3nd gen heat sinks and new Benq dvd drives (if needed).  The box itself is also in MINT condition... not a single mark from opening
